Monitoring Information

The SAGE has six inputs for EAS messages. These six monitors are scanned simultaneously for Emergency Alerts. WJON Utilizes all 6 of these EAS Channels.
Here are the SAGE monitors and their assigned use:
- Monitor 1 - Used for NWR in local area and local AM/FM. Radio used for NWR is a Midland WR-400*.
- Monitor 2 - Used for Stream monitoring on my computer when severe weather is in a region
- Monitor 3 - Used for Stream Monitoring on computer as well*
- Monitor 4 - Local/stream monitoring
- Monitor 5 - GWES Assigned Monitor
- Monitor 6 - TFT EAS 911 Monitoring, fed through computer and into SAGE* (for WJON Local soon?)
* = These inputs are used by the SAGE to detect and remove the 1050hz tone heard at the beginning of alerts over NOAA Weather Radio
SEPERATE TFT Monitors:
- Monitor 1 - ERN/JON Input
- Monitor 2 - Used for Stream Monitoring on computer
- Monitor 3 - Used for local AM/FM via radio
- Monitor 4 - Not used at this time
- Monitor 5 - Not supported
- Monitor 6 - Not supported
